View original imageOn April 21, Coway announced that the Bluewheels Wheelchair Basketball Team won the championship at the 30th Holt National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, Goyang Special Market Cup. The Holt National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, held annually to commemorate Disabled Persons Day (April 20), took place over three days from April 18 at the Holt Sports Complex for the Disabled in Goyang. Six wheelchair basketball teams from the first division in Korea, including the Coway Bluewheels, participated in the tournament.
The Coway Bluewheels secured the championship for the third consecutive year by winning all of their matches in this tournament. In the group stage, they defeated the Chuncheon Tigers and Daegu City Hall with scores of 67-48 and 57-30, respectively, advancing to the semifinals as the top team in their group. In the semifinals, Coway overcame Suwon Mugunghwa Electronics with a score of 74-42, and in the final, they claimed victory over the Chuncheon Tigers with a score of 67-60 to lift the championship trophy.
The Coway Bluewheels Wheelchair Basketball Team will officially begin their season activities with this tournament. Following their victory in last year's KWBL Wheelchair Basketball League Championship, the team aims to defend their championship title again this season and continue their strong performance.

Meanwhile, the Coway Bluewheels is a wheelchair basketball team founded by Coway in 2022 to promote sports for people with disabilities and realize social value. It is the only team among the six professional wheelchair basketball teams in Korea that is operated by a private company. The team has won the Wheelchair Basketball League Championship twice, the Asia-Oceania Club Exchange Tournament, and holds a total of nine championship titles, solidifying its reputation as the top wheelchair basketball team in Korea.
