Gyeongnam Chamber of Commerce Council and Gyeongnam Provincial Council Economic and Environment Committee Sign Business Agreement
The Gyeongnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Association and the Economic and Environmental Committee of the Gyeongnam Provincial Council signed a 'Cooperation MOU for Industrial, Economic, and Environmental Development' at the council's conference room on the 17th.
The signing ceremony was attended by Choi Hakbeom, Chairman of the Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Council, Heo Dongwon, Chairman of the Economic and Environmental Committee, as well as committee members, and Choi Jaeho, President of the Gyeongnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Association, along with other chamber presidents from the region.
This agreement was initiated following the consensus on the need for joint research on ordinances in the industrial and economic sectors, which was discussed at a meeting between the Gyeongsangnam-do Chamber of Commerce and Industry Association and the Gyeongnam Provincial Council on March 17. Through this MOU, both parties plan to begin practical policy cooperation to revitalize the local economy and improve the business environment for companies.
The main contents of the agreement include joint research and discussion on the enactment and revision of ordinances in the industrial, economic, and environmental sectors of Gyeongsangnam-do, as well as policy proposals for local economic development and improvement of the business environment for companies.
Heo Dongwon, Chairman of the Economic and Environmental Committee of the Provincial Council, stated, "This agreement serves as a cooperative model linking the council and the local business community, and we will actively support it to ensure it leads to tangible legislative and policy outcomes."
Choi Jaeho, President of the Gyeongnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Association, said, "Today's agreement will be an important opportunity to address the real challenges faced by local companies through institutional improvements. The Chamber of Commerce will faithfully convey the voices of the local industrial field to the council and fulfill its responsibility to help Gyeongnam become a better environment for businesses."
