A New Space Integrating Community Center, Autonomous Hall, and Health Branch Office
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) has completed the blueprint for the construction of the Muk 1-dong Complex Building.
On the 9th, the district held the 'Muk 1-dong Complex Building Design Competition Review' to transform the aging Muk 1-dong Community Center into a resident-centered complex building, selecting the work of Jaun Kyung Architects Office (CEO Yoon Jin-ah) as the final winning design.
This design competition aimed to create an open space that meets the diverse administrative, cultural, and welfare needs of Muk 1-dong residents. In particular, the winning design received high praise from the judges for its three-dimensional connection of living SOC facilities such as the community center, autonomous hall, and health branch office, and for naturally utilizing the site's elevation differences to enhance accessibility.
The Muk 1-dong Complex Building will be located at Muk-dong 120-2 and one other lot (site area 1,290㎡), with two basement floors and five above-ground floors (total floor area 4,107.74㎡), targeting completion in the first half of 2028.
In addition to the community center, autonomous hall, and health branch office, the complex will include a living culture center, small library, multipurpose auditorium, and underground parking lot, expected to satisfy the diverse cultural and welfare needs of residents.

Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, stated, "The Muk 1-dong Complex Building will be an open complex space where any resident can comfortably visit and gather, not just a simple administrative space.
