An official from a local institution in Gumi, Gyeongbuk, was found dead.
According to the police, at around 10:45 a.m. on the 14th, Mr. A was found dead in an outskirts area of Gumi City, Gyeongbuk. Mr. A had been reported missing by his family around midnight that day.
The police and fire authorities discovered the deceased Mr. A after a search. The police believe there is no suspicion of a crime.
Mr. A was under investigation for violating the Entrusted Election Act related to the institution head election held last March.
The police stated, "We plan to further investigate whether there are any other individuals involved in the election-related case."
