Choi Won-seok, Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Special Judicial Police Bureau, was appointed as Deputy Mayor of Guro-gu effective the 9th.
Deputy Mayor Choi will support the district administration philosophy and policies of Jang In-hong, Mayor of Guro-gu, who was elected through a by-election on the 2nd.
Deputy Mayor Choi, who holds a master's degree from Yonsei University Graduate School, passed the 8th local civil service exam in 2002 and joined the Seoul Metropolitan Government. He has significant experience in public relations, including roles as Seoul City Media Officer, International Exchange Officer, Citizen Communication Planning Officer, Public Relations Planning Officer, and Consul General in San Francisco.
Deputy Mayor Choi stated, "I will assist Mayor Jang In-hong and communicate well with the staff to do my best in making Guro-gu a better place to live."
