The K-Design Award 2025, established as one of Asia's top three design awards, announced on the 11th that it has appointed South Korean architect Kim Kyung-hoon as a judge.
With the slogan "KUDOS FOR YOUR DESIGN," the K-Design Award is recognized as a global premium award that goes beyond simple recognition to simultaneously prove design achievement and commercial value.
Architect Kim Kyung-hoon, who led the design "Next. Integrated. Design" at JUNG LIM Architecture, redefining the direction and public value of design, currently serves as CEO and Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of JPA. He has showcased designs that connect society and brands through spatial branding and relational design. He was honored with the Korea Architecture Day Merit Award (2023) and was selected as one of the UIA World’s Top 100 Architects (2012). He has demonstrated his capabilities in both domestic and international public and private projects and has received numerous major architecture and design awards, including the Korea Architecture Culture Award, Asia Urban Landscape Award, Asia Design Prize, and K-Design Award.
Additionally, he serves as the Chair of the Architecture Culture and Arts Committee of the Korean Institute of Architects, working to popularize architecture and elevate its artistic value. He is also currently a member of the Young Architects Award Steering Committee and a judge for the Korea Spatial Culture Award. In this award, he will participate in judging across all categories, including spatial design, setting high standards for design quality.
Founded in 2012, the K-Design Award is one of Asia’s top three design awards that discovers world-class design and fairly and honorably verifies designers’ achievements. It maximizes the commercial success potential of winning works through various benefits such as award logos, hardcover catalogs, and international exhibition connections, as well as securing references in the global market. Each year, thousands of designers from over 20 countries participate, and the award ceremony is recognized as a premium event held in the world’s most luxurious banquet halls.
Especially this year, the ceremony will be grandly held again at the "Signiel Seoul Grand Ballroom," inviting VIPs and global design stakeholders. Held at the highest hotel banquet hall in the world, this ceremony is the only ultra-premium award event in the design field, providing winners with a stage that serves as a global career turning point, including a red carpet, VIP reception, and global interviews.
