Gwangju Veterans Affairs Office and Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital Provide Medical Volunteer Service for 80th Anniversary of Liberation

View original imageGwangju Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital (Director: Yeom Seungcheol) and the Gwangju Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs announced on the 9th that they conducted a medical volunteer service at Gwangju Koryoin Village in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Liberation.
On this day, medical staff including doctors of Korean medicine and nurses from Gwangju Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital participated in the volunteer service held at Koryoin Village in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju. They provided Korean medicine treatments such as acupuncture to around 50 elderly Koryoin who returned from Central Asia and distributed Korean medicine patches and other supplies.
Gwangju Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital, a hospital under Jaseng Medical Foundation, has been continuously engaged in social contribution activities since its opening in August 2016. Last month, the hospital visited the home of a spouse of an independence patriot residing in Gwangju to provide Korean medicine treatment services.
Kim Seokki, Director of the Gwangju Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, stated, "It is meaningful to practice living patriotism for everyone in our daily lives together with the local community in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Liberation," and added, "We will strive to remember the sacrifices of those who dedicated themselves to the independence of the Republic of Korea and carry on their spirit."
