Incheon Subway Line 1 Geomdan Extension Test Run Starts from 12th... Opening in June
Incheon Transit Corporation will conduct test runs from the 12th at three stations on the extended line of Incheon Subway Line 1 in Geomdan.
Accordingly, the train intervals on Incheon Line 1 will be slightly adjusted from the current 4 minutes 30 seconds to a maximum of 5 minutes during the morning rush hours (7 a.m. to 9 a.m.). During regular hours, the intervals will increase from 8 minutes 30 seconds to 9 minutes, while during the evening rush hours (6 p.m. to 8 p.m.), the intervals will remain unchanged at 5 minutes 30 seconds.
The new train timetable will be posted at all stations and can also be checked on the Incheon Transit Corporation website.
The Geomdan extension project involves adding three new stations over a 6.8 km section from Gyeyang Station to Geomdan Hosu Park Station, and is scheduled to officially open in June.

An official from Incheon Transit Corporation stated, "Without adding more trains, the extension of three stations will slightly increase the intervals between trains and change the operating times."
