Busan Institute of Science and Technology Promotion (BISTEP, President Kim Youngbu) will hold the ‘1st R&D Planning Competency Level-Up Training’ for two days from the 22nd to the 23rd at Busan City Hotel to enhance the planning capabilities of local researchers and R&D project managers.
The ‘R&D Planning Competency Level-Up Training’ is an advanced program specialized in R&D planning, focusing on strengthening the expertise of local innovation actors by improving their overall understanding of national R&D projects and practical planning skills.
This year’s training will be held three times in total, targeting local research institutes, university and corporate researchers, and project managers who have a demand for R&D project planning.
The first session will be held under the theme ‘Leveling Up R&D Planning Report Writing Skills Using AI.’ The program will utilize ChatGPT for tasks such as environmental analysis and deriving improvement directions, which are necessary for writing planning reports, and will be conducted over two days for a total of six hours to ensure effective, hands-on training.
Kim Youngbu, President of BISTEP, stated, “Regional R&D planning capabilities play a key role in attracting national research and development projects,” and added, “We will continue to develop training courses that reflect field needs and operate practical programs to strengthen the planning capabilities of local innovation actors.”

The first training session is open to any local researchers and project managers interested in R&D planning, and about 60 participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Detailed information can be found on the BISTEP website.
