Daesang Jongga Launches Online Platform Exclusive 'Baechu Geotjeori'
Reflecting Consumer Needs and Packaged Kimchi Distribution Trends
Daesang announced on the 9th that it has launched 'Baechu Geotjeori,' a fresh napa cabbage kimchi that preserves the crisp texture and freshness of freshly made kimchi.
The new Baechu Geotjeori is characterized by maintaining the crisp texture of freshly made kimchi. It uses Korean agricultural products such as napa cabbage, chili peppers, garlic, onions, and shrimp sauce. The seasoning includes ground red chili peppers to add a spicy kick, and pear pur?e to create a refreshing and savory sweetness in harmony.
This product was launched reflecting consumer demand for freshly made flavors and the trend of online-centered distribution. Since Geotjeori is consumed immediately without a separate fermentation process, freshness and fast delivery are key competitive advantages, according to the company. Given the importance of maintaining freshness, the product is sold through online platforms such as home shopping, Coupang, Naver, and SSG.com. The product uses PET containers to enhance convenience by allowing storage and consumption without additional containers, and it is double-packaged in kimchi-specific packaging film and delivered safely and fresh in an icebox.
