Changwon Special City Enhances Job Competency with Four Core Training Programs
Regular Intensive Job Training for Grade 6 and Below Civil Servants
Ongoing Specialized Programs by Field
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam has been conducting the 'First Half Basic Competency Enhancement Training' for 160 civil servants of grade 6 and below starting from the 7th.
This training is designed to intensively improve essential job competencies required across all departments, regardless of job series. Applications were accepted from interested employees of grade 6 and below, and 50 participants were selected for each subject. The training is conducted over two days for each subject to ensure in-depth learning.
The training covers four main subjects based on the core competencies required for public officials: △ Report Writing (information structuring, sentence expression) △ Budget and Accounting (budget execution standards) △ Contract Practice (contract laws, contract procedures) △ Legal Affairs Practice (interpretation and application of laws, administrative disposition procedures). In particular, the report writing subject includes training on official document writing using AI, helping participants develop efficient work skills in line with digital era trends.
Additionally, academic achievement evaluations will be applied to this training as well, enhancing learning effectiveness and utilizing the results as personnel data to organically link training, competency, and personnel management.
Hong Sunyoung, Director of the Autonomous Administration Bureau, stated, "Our city is striving to develop job competencies with professionalism and responsibility through systematic training that benefits practitioners," adding, "Ultimately, our goal is to cultivate talent that can provide better administrative services for citizens."
Meanwhile, the Basic Competency Enhancement Training will be held at Changwon Munseong University for a total of six days: April 7-8 (Report Writing), 14-15 (Budget and Accounting, Contract Practice), and 17-18 (Legal Affairs Practice).
