View original imageYuseong District in Daejeon announced on the 8th that it had delivered 17,380,000 KRW in donations, raised through voluntary fundraising by its employees, to the Community Chest of Korea to support wildfire recovery efforts.
The donations will be transferred to the National Disaster Relief Association through the Community Chest of Korea and will be used to provide relief supplies for wildfire victims in the Yeongnam region and to support recovery projects in affected areas.
Jung Yongrae, Mayor of Yuseong District, said, "I hope the heartfelt contributions from Yuseong District employees will quickly reach and help the residents affected by the wildfires," and added, "We will continue to cooperate with local related organizations to prepare various support measures until recovery is complete."
Meanwhile, on the 28th of last month, Yuseong District supported its sister city, Sancheong County in Gyeongsangnam-do, with 2,000 dust masks as relief supplies, and is conducting promotional activities centered on 13 administrative welfare centers to encourage voluntary donations from residents.
