Court Halts Appointment of Shin Dong-ho as EBS President...Temporary Injunction Granted
Former EBS President Kim Yu-yeol's request for a suspension of execution to block the appointment of Shin Dong-ho as the new president by the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) was accepted by the court.
The Administrative Division 2 of the Seoul Administrative Court (Presiding Judge Ko Eun-seol) ruled in favor of Kim's side on the 7th regarding the suspension of execution request filed against the KCC chairman over the appointment of the new president. Earlier, the KCC held a plenary meeting on the 26th of last month and resolved to approve the appointment of Shin Dong-ho as president.
In response, 52 out of 54 EBS senior executives expressed their intention to resign in protest against the unfairness of the 'dual leadership system' decision, and the EBS labor union also opposed it.
