Collaboration with Samsung C&T Resort Division in Landscaping Sector
to Maximize Landmark Value of Front Zone 1
HDC Hyundai Development Company announced on the 4th that it will collaborate with Samsung C&T Resort Division in the landscaping sector to develop Yongsan Maintenance Depot Front Zone 1 into a global landmark.

View original imageYongsan Maintenance Depot Front Zone 1 will be developed as a large-scale complex consisting of 12 buildings, each 38 stories high, combining residential, commercial, office, and cultural facilities. Due to the nature of the complex, an integrated landscaping plan and detailed design implementation tailored to the characteristics of each facility are essential.
HDC Hyundai Development Company plans to realize world-class luxury landscaping through collaboration with Samsung C&T Resort Division. Samsung C&T Resort Division will provide customized landscaping design optimized for the complex and aims to maximize the overall value of the project.
Samsung C&T Resort Division has experience in leading domestic landscaping projects in major Seoul areas such as Everland, Banpo, Gaepo, and Mapo, and possesses unique design capabilities. They also have sustainable eco-friendly design skills, including seasonal themed landscape presentations, eco-friendly vegetation management technology, and rainwater recycling systems.
The two companies plan to apply △ differentiated seasonal theme gardens △ open spaces harmonizing large green areas and water features △ eco-friendly management technologies to Yongsan Maintenance Depot Front Zone 1. Additionally, they will create linear theme gardens and incorporate urban resort-level spatial presentation techniques to offer a special urban landscape experience to both domestic and international visitors.
An HDC Hyundai Development Company official stated, "This project is a key axis linked to the Yongsan International Business District, connected with the Yongsan Station Front Park underground space development project and the Yongsan Railroad Hospital site development project, which HDC Hyundai Development Company is already responsible for from design to construction and operation. We will complete it as a world-class landmark integrating the functions and aesthetics of the entire city, similar to Tokyo’s Azabudai Hills or Roppongi Hills."
A Samsung C&T Resort Division official said, "Based on our design and construction capabilities proven by overseas design awards and collaboration experience with renowned international design firms such as SWA, we plan to create a unique landscaping space for the Yongsan Maintenance Depot Front Zone 1 project.
