View original imageA sinkhole incident occurred again in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, nine days after the previous sinkhole accident. However, it has been confirmed that there were no casualties.
According to Gangdong-gu Office on the 2nd, at 5:07 PM that day, a sinkhole measuring 20 cm in width and 50 cm in depth occurred on a road in Gil-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul.
A Gangdong-gu official stated, "It is understood that the hole was caused by poor finishing work on the communication manhole," and added, "The hole has been temporarily filled with cement, and asphalt paving is scheduled for tomorrow."

This is the first sinkhole accident in Gangdong-gu in nine days since the incident on the 24th of last month. At around 6:30 PM that day, a large sinkhole approximately 20 meters in diameter and 20 meters deep occurred at an intersection near Daemyeong Elementary School. In that accident, a motorcycle driver fell into the sinkhole and was found dead after being missing.
