Yeoncheon-gun Opens Prehistoric Experience Village and Paleolithic Experience Forest in Jeongok-ri
Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province announced on the 3rd that it will operate the 'Prehistoric Experience Village' and 'Paleolithic Experience Forest' (campground) at the Jeongok-ri site until November.
According to Yeoncheon-gun, the Prehistoric Experience Village and Paleolithic Experience Forest (campground) are the only historical and cultural complex experience sites in Korea where family tourists can directly experience the 'Paleolithic life.'
The Prehistoric Experience Village, a 7,600㎡ experiential space, is designed to vividly convey the historical value of the Paleolithic site, which is recognized worldwide, focusing on sensory experience content.
The fee is 5,000 KRW, and visitors can participate in various programs such as trying on Paleolithic costumes, making thatched huts, flint tool production demonstrations, making accessories, rubbings of cave paintings, excavation experiences, hunting experiences, making hand axe bread, and Paleolithic barbecue.
The Paleolithic Experience Forest (campground) is an eco-friendly stay facility established on a 30,000㎡ site behind the Yeoncheon Prehistoric Museum. It features various types of camping sites and convenience facilities, making it an ideal healing space for families.
The Prehistoric Experience Village and Experience Forest can be accessed via Naver reservation or on-site registration.
