Korea Intelligent Information Society Agency Hires 47 New Employees... 18 Full-Time and Permanent Contract Positions, 15 Interns
The National Information Society Agency (President Hwang Jongseong, NIA) announced its recruitment plan for new employees and experiential youth interns for 2025 on the 2nd.
Through this open recruitment, NIA plans to hire a total of 47 personnel, including regular employees, permanent contract workers, substitute contract workers for parental leave, and experiential youth interns.
The agency will recruit 18 people in five areas for regular and permanent contract positions: artificial intelligence policy, business planning and management, global cooperation, limited competition for people with disabilities (general management and business planning), and video (sign language) relay.
To foster a work-life balance culture, 13 substitute personnel for parental leave in the business planning and management area will be selected, with applications divided into two groups depending on appointment timing in May and July.
The Sonmaleeum Center, which supports communication for the hearing impaired, will separately hire one general manager (limited competition).
Additionally, 15 experiential youth interns will be recruited to provide young people with opportunities for diverse job experiences and to strengthen their employability.
This recruitment process will be conducted with strict fairness and transparency. NIA will implement a blind recruitment system that excludes information unrelated to job performance, such as gender, academic background, and age, and will evaluate only the professional competencies required for the position.
In particular, the agency will focus on identifying talent aligned with its core mission of solving social problems through digital technology. Furthermore, the 'Fair Recruitment Verification Committee' will rigorously review the entire recruitment process to ensure a fair environment where candidates are evaluated solely on their abilities.
The job announcement will be published on the NIA recruitment website, and applications will be accepted for eight days from 10:00 a.m. on the 8th to 6:00 p.m. on the 15th.
For regular and permanent contract positions, candidates will go through document screening, a written test, and first and second interviews. Substitute contract workers for parental leave, the general manager for the Sonmaleeum Center, and experiential youth interns will be appointed after document screening and interviews.
NIA President Hwang Jongseong stated, "In the era of digital transformation, national competitiveness is talent competitiveness. Through this recruitment, we will attract talented individuals and foster a creative organizational culture where all employees can demonstrate their expertise. As a specialized agency for artificial intelligence, we will lead government innovation based on AI and accelerate Korea's digital future."
