Haenam-gun Selected for Jeollanam-do Regional Representative Performing Arts Festival Contest
"Jeontongnori Ae Ppajida" to Be Held in October
Special Cultural Experiences Offered to Visitors
Haenam County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Myung Hyun-gwan) and the Haenam Culture and Tourism Foundation have been selected for the regional representative performing arts festival contest, hosted by Jeollanam-do.
According to the county on the 1st, the selected performing arts festival, "Jeontongnori Ae Ppajida," will offer visitors a special cultural experience with a variety of performances and events themed around Haenam's traditional culture.

View original imageThe event will be held in October at the Haenam County Citizens' Plaza Lawn Square. Major local traditional art groups, including Haenam Pungmulpae Haewon, Haenam Ganggangsullae, and Usuyeong Deulsori, will participate to present a rich array of performances.
In addition, the stage, which blends traditional games, music, and dance, is expected to shed new light on Haenam's history and culture and serve as a venue for unity where local residents can come together.
Governor Myung Hyun-gwan stated, "Through this performing arts festival, we will widely promote Haenam's traditional culture and develop it into a cultural festival that instills pride in local residents," adding, "We will thoroughly prepare so that it can be established as a representative performing arts festival of Haenam in the future."
