Hampyeong County Selected for Digital Tourism Resident Card Offering Viewing and Accommodation Benefits
Hampyeong County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 1st that it has been selected for the "2025 Digital Tourism Resident Card Project," organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization.
The Digital Tourism Resident Card allows tourists, who are not local residents, to receive an honorary resident card through the "Korea Travel Guide" mobile app. By scanning QR codes placed at tourism facilities and businesses, they can enjoy various discounts on experiences, attractions, restaurants, accommodations, and more.
Hampyeong County plans to offer a total of 21 discounts across sightseeing, accommodation, food and beverages, and experiences, including a 50% discount on admission to Hampyeong Natural Ecology Park, a 10% discount at Hampyeong Dolmeori Sea Water Healing Center, and a 20% discount on experience fees at Irine Farm.
Lee Sangik, Mayor of Hampyeong County, stated, "We plan to continuously expand the number of businesses offering discounts through the Digital Tourism Resident Card so that visitors to Hampyeong can enjoy even more benefits," and added, "The entire region will work together to provide tourists with a comfortable and enjoyable trip."
