Pocheon-si Opens Applications for Disaster Basic Income and Gyeonggi-do Daily Recovery Support Fund for Residents Affected by Airstrike Damage

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) has expanded the disaster basic income payment to support the living stability of residents in the affected areas following the Air Force fighter jet accidental bombing incident and to revitalize the stagnant local economy.
According to Pocheon City on the 31st, the city will accept applications for disaster basic income and Gyeonggi Province daily recovery support funds from residents of the Air Force bombing-affected areas from April 1 to April 15.
The support funds consist of 500,000 KRW disaster basic income paid by Pocheon City and 1,000,000 KRW daily recovery support fund paid by Gyeonggi Province, and eligible applicants can receive both support funds together.
If applicants have already received the disaster basic income (1,000,000 KRW) paid by Pocheon City, additional applications are not allowed; however, the Gyeonggi Province daily recovery support fund (1,000,000 KRW) can be received regardless of previous support fund receipt.
The Pocheon City disaster basic income (500,000 KRW) will be paid to residents who have their resident registration in Idong-myeon, Pocheon City before March 6, 2025, until the announcement date, or residents who were registered in Idong-myeon on the accident day, March 6, but have moved to other towns or townships within Pocheon City as of the announcement date.
The Gyeonggi Province daily recovery support fund (1,000,000 KRW) requires residents to have their resident registration in Idong-myeon, Pocheon City on the accident day, March 6, and to continue residing in Gyeonggi Province until the announcement date. Both support funds also cover registered foreigners and overseas Koreans.
Applications are accepted from April 1 to April 15 (including weekends). From April 1 to April 7, applications can be submitted at Idong Small Library, Dopyeong-ri Doridol Cultural Exchange Center, Yeongok 1-ri Village Hall, Nogok 1-ri Village Hall, and Nogok 2-ri Village Hall. However, from April 8 to April 15, applications can only be submitted at Idong Small Library.
Once confirmed as eligible, the support funds will be deposited into the applicant’s personal bank account. Group applications by household are allowed, and even for proxy applications, payments will be made only to the eligible recipient’s personal bank account.
