Uijeongbu-si, Final Approval of Partial Amendment to 2035 Urban Master Plan
Securing 0.297㎢ of New Urbanization-Planned Land Including Camp Jackson
Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 31st that the 'Partial Amendment to the 2035 Uijeongbu Urban Master Plan,' which received final approval from Gyeonggi Province, will be publicly announced from April 1 to 30.
The master plan can be viewed by visiting the City Urban Policy Division or on the city hall website.
The final approved plan is based on the '2035 Uijeongbu Urban Master Plan' already established in November 2021, maintaining the target year and population plan, while securing a new supply of 0.297㎢ of urbanization-planned land, including the Camp Jackson urban development project site, due to changes in the comprehensive development plan.
Additionally, the contents of the '2035 Uijeongbu Park and Green Space Master Plan,' established in November last year, were also incorporated. This is expected to serve as a foothold to accommodate various internal and external changes and to present the long-term development direction of Uijeongbu City.
Previously, the city went through administrative procedures such as a public hearing and gathering opinions from the city council on this plan, applied for approval from Gyeonggi Province in September last year, and received final approval after review by the Gyeonggi Province Urban Planning Committee in February this year.
As a result, local projects such as the Camp Jackson urban development project promoted by Uijeongbu Urban Corporation are expected to gain further momentum.

An Jung-hyun, head of the Urban Policy Division, said, "With the approval of this urban master plan, we have secured urbanization-planned development space that can respond to urban development," adding, "We will establish and implement land use plans and phased development plans necessary to achieve the urban indicators for the target year, laying the foundation as a key city in northern Gyeonggi and a self-sufficient city."
