Mobile Identification Cards Can Replace Physical IDs for Branch Customers Starting April 4
KB Kookmin Card announced on the 31st that it will add three types of identification cards?mobile Resident Registration Card, National Veterans Registration Card, and Foreigner Identification Card?to the identity verification process.
In addition to the previously provided mobile driver's license, identity verification can now be done using various identification cards issued through the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's mobile ID app.
Starting the next day, Foreigner Registration Card, Overseas Korean Domestic Residence Report Card, and Permanent Resident Card will also be gradually introduced.
From the 4th, customers visiting branches for card services will be able to use mobile identification cards instead of physical IDs, in addition to the identity verification process.
