Daejojeon of Changdeokgung Palace is the foremost building among the queen's quarters. It has undergone many changes, including the main building and its annexes, due to multiple fires and reconstructions. The current building was rebuilt after a major fire in 1917. In 1919, Gyotaejeon from Gyeongbokgung Palace was relocated here, and the interior was decorated in a Western style.
