World Human Rights Organization Federation, Special Review by Human Rights Commission... Risk of Maintaining A Grade
The National Human Rights Commission of Korea (NHRCK) announced on the 26th that it will undergo a special review at the 46th Accreditation Sub-Committee meeting of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) this October.
GANHRI evaluates whether the NHRCK complies with the "Paris Principles" and decides whether to maintain its A status. Currently, among 118 member national human rights institutions, 91 hold an A status and 27 hold a B status.

The special review by the Accreditation Sub-Committee is a procedure initiated when there are concerns raised by civil society organizations regarding the compliance and implementation of the Paris Principles by the respective national human rights institution.
