Settlement Audit to Begin on April 11
The Gwangsan District Council of Gwangju concluded the schedule for its 295th extraordinary session with the second plenary meeting on the 26th.

View original imageDuring this session, a total of 20 agenda items, including ordinance and consent bills, were passed. The plenary meeting also featured five-minute free speeches. Council member Cho Youngim proposed measures to revitalize community culture, Kim Youngsun emphasized the need to amend district unit plans, and Kim Taewan suggested efforts to expand tax sources for the financial stability of the autonomous district.
The audit committee for the 2024 fiscal year settlement was newly formed. Park Miok was appointed as the chief committee member, and together with Kim Myungsook and four civilian members, including accountants and tax accountants, a total of six members were selected. The settlement audit will be conducted for 20 days from April 11 to 30, reviewing the legality and efficiency of budget execution.
Chairperson Kim Myungsoo stated, "I hope the opinions raised during this session will be well reflected in district administration and lead to real change," adding, "We will continue to do our best in legislative activities to improve the quality of life for our residents."
