The Gyeongnam Eastern Region Safety Culture Practice Promotion Group was launched on March 9, 2023, and consists of 17 organizations including the Yangsan Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Gyeongnam Eastern Branch of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, local governments (Yangsan, Gimhae, Miryang), public institutions (Facility Management Corporation, Urban Development Corporation), labor-management groups, industry-specific councils, and private companies.
This year, the group is focusing on SAFETY 4U (Safety For US), which adds the 'Large, Medium, and Small Enterprises Safety Culture Sharing Campaign' to the existing three major safety campaigns to further spread a culture of safety in the region. In particular, they plan to actively discover and promote cases where labor and management within companies work together to internalize safety as the highest value.
The three major safety campaigns are: the Hazard Sign Attachment Campaign, the Safety Message Dissemination Campaign, and the Workplace Safety Rules Establishment Campaign.
On this day, the attendees reaffirmed their commitment through the 'Joint Resolution of the Safety Culture Practice Promotion Group,' vowing to prioritize the lives and safety of local workers and to do their utmost to create safe and healthy workplaces.
