Suseong District of Daegu Provides Ramen and Bottled Water to Uiseong County Affected by Wildfire, Hopes for Swift Recovery
Suseong District of Daegu (District Mayor Kim Daekwon) provided essential supplies worth 1 million KRW, including bottled water and instant noodles, on the 25th to support the swift recovery of its sister city Uiseong County, which suffered significant damage from a large wildfire, and to help displaced residents return to their daily lives.
Suseong District and Uiseong County have maintained active exchanges since forming a sisterhood agreement in 2023, including mutual visits to local festivals, invitations to specialty product sales events, and participation in the Hometown Love Donation Program.
Kim Daekwon, Mayor of Suseong District, Daegu, said, "I extend my deepest condolences to the local residents who are struggling due to the large wildfire damage. I hope this support will be of some help to the prompt recovery efforts, and I sincerely wish for the displaced residents to return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
