Expert Meeting Held to Discuss Revitalization of Busan Port Marine Industry Cluster
Busan Port Authority (BPA) held an expert meeting on June 25 at the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center (BPEX) to discuss the revitalization of the Busan Port Marine Industry Cluster.

Twelve local universities and research institutes participated in the meeting, reaching a consensus on the need for the Busan Port Marine Industry Cluster to become a central hub for knowledge-based and intelligent marine industries. Proposals were also made to strengthen cooperation with universities and support for startups and venture companies so that local talents can realize their dreams based on the cluster.
Based on the experts' opinions, BPA discussed practical support measures in collaboration with related organizations, including providing incentives and forming a task force to establish a support center. Through these efforts, BPA also plans to enhance support for key research institutes and university research centers related to the marine industry.
Song Sangkeun, President of Busan Port Authority, said, "We will strengthen the competitiveness of both hardware and software in the marine sector by bringing together talents and research institutes in the Busan area," and added, "We will actively take the lead in helping the Marine Industry Cluster become a knowledge-based and intelligent industry hub."
