During a candidate debate hosted by the Damyang Election Broadcasting Debate Committee on the 25th, Jung said, "The construction of the new county office has been planned since 2008, and a fund of 16 billion KRW has been accumulated. However, due to conflicting interests within Damyang's political circles, there has been no progress," expressing his views on the matter.
He continued, "The construction and relocation of the county office must, of course, be discussed based on plans to revitalize the original downtown business district, and I will proceed according to the opinions of the residents through a public consensus process in the future." He emphasized, "Regardless of the advantages or disadvantages in election strategy, it is the candidate's responsibility to initiate public discussion during this election process for the development of Damyang."

However, due to insufficient connectivity between tourist attractions such as Guksu Street, Juknokwon, Gwanbang Jerim, and Metaprovence, as well as poor links with the downtown area including Jungang-ro, further growth has stalled." He explained, "The construction and relocation of the county office has been proposed as a long-term comprehensive plan to connect Jungang-ro and the old downtown with tourist attractions like Juknokwon and Metaprovence, and to establish the 'Millennium Damyang History Center' and 'Dambit Tourism Town.'"
Meanwhile, Jung proposed, "As a concrete plan, the Bamboo Museum should be relocated near the current county office, and the county office and public health center should be moved to the Bamboo Museum site. This way, Damyang can pursue an urban regeneration New Deal project with two main pillars: 'Dambit Tourism Town' and 'Administrative Complex Town.'"
