Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency Holds Industrial Health Experts Council Meeting
The Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (Director Jung Jongdeuk) held a council of occupational health experts on the 25th at the Busan Transportation Corporation Railway Human Resources and Technology Institute to prevent occupational diseases and acute poisoning.

View original imageMore than 50 people attended the council, including officials from the Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office, Busan Eastern Branch, Busan Northern Branch, the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, local occupational health specialized institutions (measurement, special inspection, agency services), the Workers' Health Center, and the Occupational Disease Safety Center.
The meeting consisted of discussions on: ▲ Follow-up management measures for small businesses by the Busan Workers' Health Center ▲ Current status of the disease and acute poisoning monitoring system established by the Busan Occupational Disease Safety Center ▲ Expanding compliance with occupational health systems in workplaces.
Director Jung Jongdeuk stated, "We will make every effort to prevent key occupational diseases in the health sector, such as acute poisoning, occupational cancer, cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases, and suffocation, by establishing an occupational disease surveillance system through collaboration with occupational health specialized institutions."
