Yeonggwang County Offers Incentives to Travel Agencies Attracting Group Tourists
Up to 20,000 KRW Support Per Person
Yeonggwang County in Jeollanam-do is implementing a project to provide incentives to travel agencies that attract group tourists, aiming to revitalize the tourism market by attracting more visitors and boosting the local economy.
The eligible recipients are travel agencies that have completed registration in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, and that bring at least 10 domestic tourists or 5 foreign tourists to Yeonggwang County, meeting conditions such as visiting tourist attractions and using local restaurants and accommodations.
The incentive amount is up to 20,000 KRW per person. Incentives are provided based on the number of visits to the four major religious and cultural heritage sites and tourist attractions in the county, as well as the number of times local restaurants and accommodations are used, for groups of at least 10 domestic tourists, 5 foreign tourists, or 20 students on school trips. However, support is not provided during local festivals in Yeonggwang County (Bulgapsan Sangsa Flower Festival, Beopseongpo Danoje, Yeonggwang Glutinous Barley Festival, E-Mobility Expo).
To receive the incentive, a preliminary plan must be submitted to the person in charge via email at least five days before the trip, and the application form and supporting documents must be submitted by registered mail within 15 days after the trip is completed. Detailed information can be found on the Yeonggwang County Office website.
