Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju will temporarily relocate the offices of the Traffic Administration Division and the Traffic Guidance Division to address the lack of waiting areas for traffic-related civil complaints and to alleviate parking shortages.
According to Gwangsan-gu on the 25th, the Traffic Administration Division will move to the Songjeong KT Building (268 Sangmu-daero), and the Traffic Guidance Division will relocate to the UPSY Building (239-1 Sangmu-daero), located across from the district office. Both divisions will begin normal operations at their new locations starting April 14. The relocation will take place over two days, April 12 and 13.
The Traffic Administration Division is responsible for establishing traffic safety measures, managing passenger and freight transport businesses, and vehicle registration, while the Traffic Guidance Division handles on-site tasks such as cracking down on illegal parking, managing parking lots, and inspecting traffic facilities.
Park Byungkyu, the head of the district office, stated, "By securing ample parking space and workspaces tailored to each division's needs, we will enhance convenience for residents and improve the quality of our services."
