Kim Dong-yeon on Han Deok-su's impeachment dismissal: "Yoon's impeachment acceptance preceded by national stability measures"
Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon on the 24th evaluated Prime Minister Han Duck-soo's return to office as a "preemptive national stability measure ahead of the impeachment acceptance of Yoon Seok-yeol."
In a post on his social media (SNS) that day, Governor Kim said, "I believe the Constitutional Court's dismissal of Han Duck-soo's impeachment and the preemptive national stability measure ahead of the acceptance of Yoon Seok-yeol's impeachment," adding, "Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, who is returning, should first and foremost have a phone call with President Trump."
He continued, "I hope an economic plenipotentiary will be appointed to quickly fill the gap in economic diplomacy," and added, "A prompt supplementary budget must be implemented before the economy heads into a bigger crisis."
Furthermore, he advised, "There is no reason to hesitate in appointing Judge Ma Eun-hyuk," and said, "The appointing authority, who will soon be dismissed, should think only of the country, the people, and the economy."
Earlier, the Constitutional Court dismissed the impeachment motion in the ruling session of Prime Minister Han's impeachment trial that day. Among the eight Constitutional Court justices, five dismissed, two rejected, and one accepted the motion, resulting in dismissal.
