4.2 By-election Voter Count Confirmed at 4,620,908
7,924 Overseas Koreans and 13,116 Foreign Nationals Eligible to Vote
The number of eligible voters for the by-elections and re-elections to be held on April 2 has been confirmed at 4,620,908.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 24th that the number of eligible voters was confirmed as of the voter registry finalization date on the 21st.

In this by-election and re-election, Busan will elect the Superintendent of Education. For local government heads, elections will be held for the Guro District Mayor in Seoul, Asan Mayor in Chungnam, Damyang County Governor in Jeonnam, Gimcheon Mayor in Gyeongbuk, and Geoje Mayor in Gyeongnam. Additionally, by-elections will be conducted for 7 metropolitan council seats and 8 local council seats.
Among the eligible voters, females account for 2,357,264 (51%), which is more than the 2,263,644 males.
The largest electorate is for the Busan City Superintendent of Education election, with 2,870,324 eligible voters.
Voters can check their voter registry registration number and polling station location through the city, county, or district office websites or via postal notices.

Voters can participate in the election by voting early at designated early voting stations in the election areas on March 28-29 or at designated polling stations on April 2.
