44 Firefighters and 5 Fire Trucks Mobilized for Suppression Efforts
At around 4 PM on March 22, a fire broke out at a lumber factory near Dangchon Reservoir in Yongdang-dong, Yangsan-si. The fire completely destroyed the factory and spread to the nearby mountain.

View original imageThe Yangsan Fire Station was dispatched to extinguish the fire. The city of Yangsan also sent 44 members of the wildfire suppression team, 5 wildfire suppression vehicles, Mayor Na Dongyeon, and related officials to the site of the wildfire.
At the scene, the Mayor of Yangsan directed the suppression team, mobilizing all available personnel and resources to ensure the safety of residents and to respond to the wildfire with maximum effort.
Additionally, Yangsan-si sent emergency disaster text messages to residents near Sangbuk-myeon, advising them to keep their windows closed and to take detours around the area. More officials and suppression team members are being deployed to prevent the wildfire from spreading further.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and there have been no reported casualties.
The national wildfire disaster crisis alert has been raised to the highest level across the country. Mayor Na Dongyeon stated, "Wildfires are occurring nationwide due to dry weather and strong winds. I would like to thank everyone working hard for the safety of our citizens, and I ask all residents to continue to pay close attention to safeguard their lives and property."
