Shin Hak-cheol, Vice Chairman of LG Chem, Appointed as Chairman of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea
The National Academy of Engineering of Korea announced on the 21st that it held the 1st extraordinary board meeting at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, and elected Shin Hak-cheol, Vice Chairman of LG Chem, as the new chairman of the board.

Chairman Shin stated, "On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the National Academy of Engineering, I will propose a more long-term development direction for the academy," adding, "To this end, I will redefine the composition, roles, and governance of the board of directors and ensure that the board actively contributes to the development of the academy."
