View original imageThe Presidential Office welcomed the passage of the National Pension Act amendment by the National Assembly on the 20th, stating, "Although it was late, we are relieved that the National Assembly has taken the first step toward pension reform."
In a press release on the same day, the Presidential Office emphasized, "In the context of entering a super-aged society, pension reform must be completed through structural reforms encompassing three aspects: sustainability, intergenerational equity, and old-age income security."
It added, "We hope that the newly formed Special Committee on Pension Reform will promptly discuss and reach an agreement on the remaining structural reform tasks, such as fiscal stabilization measures, as promised to the public by both ruling and opposition parties."
