"Hold Your Child's Hand and Climb Lotte World Tower"... 'Kids Sky Run' Now Available on Lotte ON
Applications open on Lotte ON until the 25th
50 teams of one guardian and one child will be selected
Lotte Shopping's e-commerce platform Lotte ON announced on the 19th that it is recruiting participants for the special event "Kids Skyrun" of "Skyrun," the highest vertical marathon competition in Korea.
Hosted by Lotte Property & Development, Skyrun is Korea's highest vertical marathon competition, climbing 2,917 stairs up to the 123rd floor, 555 meters of Lotte World Tower. Following last year, it gained great popularity again this year, selling out within 5 minutes of ticket opening. Lotte ON has been operating "Kids Skyrun" together with Lotte Property & Development since last year to allow more customers to experience Skyrun, and this year marks the second event.
Kids Skyrun is a separate category of Skyrun where parents and children challenge together, and only winners of the Lotte ON event can participate. Last year, the youngest participant was a 6-year-old preschooler, and children of various ages participated, drawing attention by climbing the stairs faster than adults.
Applications are open until March 25, and by agreeing to receive app push notifications on the Lotte ON application and clicking the "Apply" button, applicants are automatically registered. One adult guardian and one child form a team to apply, and a total of 50 teams (100 people) will be selected. Winners will be announced individually on March 26, and the event will be held at Lotte World Tower on April 20.
All selected participants will receive a "Race Kit" consisting of a Spider T-shirt (one each for adult and kids), Lotte Cinema reservation tickets, Lotte Museum tickets, and a Lotte coupon book, the same as Skyrun participants. Finishers will additionally receive a "Finisher Kit" including a finisher medal, beverages, and snacks. On the event day, "Kids Run" participants who install the Lotte ON app and visit the Lotte ON booth will be given a special "Eltown Gift" consisting of disposable towels from Bebesup, Missha travel pouch, sun stick, and cooling patches.
Along with the event, Lotte ON will also operate a children's sportswear and sneakers special exhibition "Kids Run" until the 26th. In line with Kids Skyrun, it will showcase various sports collections such as children's running shoes and training wear from popular sports brands like MLB Kids, Fila Kids, and Black Yak Kids, offering up to 50% discounts daily on one selected brand. Recommended products include ▲ MLB Kids 25N Curve Runner (around 90,000 KRW) ▲ Discovery Kids Essential Big Logo Cooling T-shirt (around 20,000 KRW) ▲ Nike Flex Runner 3 (around 30,000 KRW).
Nam Ji-hyung, head of Lotte ON Onsite Marketing Team, said, "Lotte Property & Development's Skyrun is one of the competitions that receives high interest every year, with tickets selling out quickly, and Kids Run is also a popular part of Skyrun," adding, "Kids Skyrun is an event where guardians and children can challenge together and have a special experience, so it will be an opportunity for the whole family to share healthy enjoyment."
