Kim Mooyoung, CEO of Mtech in Gumi, a Mobile Phone Case Manufacturer, Donates 100 Million Won for Low Birth Rate Fund
Gyeongsang Province announced that on the 18th, Kim Mooyoung, CEO of M-Tech Co., Ltd., donated 100 million KRW to the Community Chest of Korea to support overcoming low birth rates, continuing the wishes of his late wife, Moon Jeomsook.
At the donation ceremony, CEO Kim Mooyoung said, "My wife valued sharing for future generations during her lifetime. Inheriting her wishes, I decided to contribute in hopes of helping to solve the low birth rate issue in Korea, even in a small way. I hope this donation will be used meaningfully so that having and raising children is no longer a burden, but a joy."

Since its establishment in 2003, M-Tech Co., Ltd. has been producing mobile phone cases based in Gumi. CEO Kim Mooyoung became the first member of the Honor Society in Gimcheon, a high-value donor club, in February 2019. In March of the same year, his wife, the late Moon Jeomsook, also joined as the 100th Honor Society member in North Gyeongsang Province, making them an Honor Society couple.
Meanwhile, since March last year, the Community Chest of Korea has been actively supporting the low birth rate policy of North Gyeongsang Province by promoting a nationwide donation campaign encouraging contributions of 10,000 KRW or more. Over the past year, they have raised 4.1 billion KRW, which will be used to purchase mobile obstetrics clinic buses, operate mobile toy libraries, and run traveling playgrounds, among other projects.
