Nine Cases in Jeonnam:
Eight in Yeongam, One in Muan
Jeonnam Province announced on the 18th that additional cases of foot-and-mouth disease have occurred at a Hanwoo farm in Yeongam.
On the afternoon of the same day, two Hanwoo cattle at a farm in Deokjin-myeon, Yeongam, tested positive for foot-and-mouth disease.
The farm owner reported the case after two out of 46 cattle showed symptoms of excessive salivation, and detailed tests confirmed foot-and-mouth disease.
This farm is located 90 meters away from the farm where foot-and-mouth disease first occurred on the 14th and was vaccinated on the 15th.
On the same day, suspected cases of foot-and-mouth disease were reported in three locations: Muan, Sinan, and Yeongam, but all tested negative.
Since the first occurrence of foot-and-mouth disease in Jeonnam on the 14th, the total number of cases in Jeonnam has increased to nine, including eight in Yeongam and one in Muan.
