Moon In, the head of Buk-gu District in Gwangju, was fined for hanging a banner on the exterior wall of the district office calling for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol. Although Moon paid the fine, he refused to remove the banner.

View original imageAccording to Buk-gu District on the 18th, Moon was fined 800,000 won for violating the Outdoor Advertising Act. He immediately paid a reduced amount of 640,000 won due to voluntary payment.
On the 10th, Moon hung a banner (2 meters wide, 10 meters long) on the Buk-gu District Office building reading, "Impeach Yoon Suk-yeol for undermining the constitution and causing national disorder," under his own name. Buk-gu District requested the removal of the banner, citing its political content on a public office building, but decided to impose the fine after Moon refused to comply.
Buk-gu District stated that it would consider additional measures if the banner is not removed.
Meanwhile, the YouTube channel "Garosero Research Institute" filed a complaint with the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office against Moon and two other local government heads for allegedly violating the State Public Officials Act.
Moon stated, "I will not take down the banner until President Yoon's impeachment is accepted," adding, "I am prepared to accept any accompanying legal consequences."
