Castelbajac Changes Company Name to 'Hyungji Global'..."A Bridgehead for Overseas Expansion of Affiliates"
Accelerating Global Expansion in France, China, Taiwan, and Indonesia
French golf wear brand Castelbajac, operated by Fashion Group Hyungji, announced on the 18th that it will change its company name to ‘Hyungji Global’. The name change was deemed necessary to leap forward as a global fashion company and to lead the overseas expansion of its affiliates.
Castelbajac held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on the 13th and resolved the agenda regarding the name change. Hyungji Global plans to take the lead in managing Fashion Group Hyungji’s global business going forward.
Hyungji Global will serve as a 'bridgehead' to assist its affiliates in expanding overseas. One of its major affiliates, Hyungji Elite, plans to enter the premium school uniform market in China and ASEAN by utilizing the supply and distribution networks that Hyungji Global possesses in those markets.
Previously, Hyungji Global laid the foundation for global expansion by acquiring the French ‘PMJC’ corporation, which was the global headquarters of Castelbajac, and operating it as a subsidiary. Currently, it is targeting ASEAN countries such as Indonesia and Vietnam in partnership with Central Group, Thailand’s largest distribution company, and is supplying products through various channels in China and Taiwan by collaborating with local fashion distribution specialists. In Dubai, where golf travel demand is increasing due to Russian tourists and others, it is also supplying products through relationships with local distributors.
Hyungji Global plans to expand its presence in overseas markets by utilizing more distribution channels in the future. Choi Junho, Vice Chairman of Fashion Group Hyungji and leader of Hyungji Global, has been actively engaging in exchange activities to support the overseas expansion of its affiliates. A representative of Hyungji Global stated, “We decided on this name change to take a full-fledged leap as a global fashion company and to play a leading role in driving the overseas expansion of the group’s major affiliates. We will continue to contribute to revitalizing the domestic golf market and make every effort to establish ourselves as a leading representative of K-fashion.”
