Silla University Holds 20th Best Teacher Award Ceremony

View original imageThe Silla University Center for Teaching and Learning has been selecting and awarding the Best Teacher each year since 2005, recognizing professors who have improved the quality of classes through 'excellent teaching' in order to enhance teaching abilities and foster a passionate mindset for teaching among faculty members.
On the 13th, the 20th Best Teacher Award ceremony was held in the President's Reception Room on the 6th floor of the university headquarters, attended by President Heo Namsik, key executives, and the award recipients.
Based on a comprehensive evaluation of teaching evaluations and participation in faculty competency programs over the past year, six professors were selected and awarded in the fields of humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and arts: Lee Bora from the Department of Library and Information Science, Kim Yanghyun from the Department of Police Administration, Choi Ryumi from the Department of Education, Oh Taeyoung from the Department of Physical Therapy, Kim Youngrok from the Department of Aviation Operation, and Kim Bokkyung from the Department of Visual Design.
The six professors who received the Best Teacher Award this year will share their teaching know-how and experiences during faculty training sessions, contributing to the capacity building of all university members, including new faculty.
Kim Yunhee, Director of the Silla University Center for Teaching and Learning, stated, "High teaching evaluation scores indicate classes with high student satisfaction, so we plan to actively share the excellent teaching methods of the award-winning professors within the university," and added, "In the 2025 academic year, we will continue to operate various programs to support professors in their teaching and research."
