Gwangju Seo-gu Launches 'Self-Development Club Project' for Public Officials
Creating a Healthy Workplace Culture
Practicing for 100 Days
Seo-gu District of Gwangju (District Mayor Kim Ikang) has launched a self-development club project for public officials called "The Miracle of 100 Days That Makes Me" to foster a healthy workplace culture.
According to Seo-gu on the 17th, the self-development club is operated with a Body Challenge and Mind Challenge, where employees autonomously set their own goals and certify their progress over 100 days. The project aims to enhance individual motivation for challenge and, at the organizational level, to promote communication and collaboration among members.

Members can earn up to 100,000 won worth of cultural gift certificates.
Notably, this initiative was proposed as an innovative idea at "Fun on Work," an organizational culture improvement group operated by Seo-gu last year, and drew considerable attention.
At the launch ceremony, about 20 members shared self-introductions and discussed the direction of the club's operation. They pledged to consistently pursue their set goals in areas such as exercise, diet, studying, and reading for 100 days.
To achieve their goals, members will actively share information and encourage each other, regularly certifying their progress using the "Time Stamp" app and similar tools.
Kim Ikang, Mayor of Seo-gu, stated, "I hope that through steady practice over 100 days, our employees will have the opportunity to grow on their own," adding, "I expect that such changes will invigorate the organization and ultimately lead to improved administrative services for our residents."
