'Yoon Dismissal Banner' Reported, Buyeo County Governor Says "Will Not Be Swayed"
Park Jeong-hyun Vows to Speak Out Until President Yoon Is Dismissed
Park Jeong-hyun, the mayor of Buyeo County in Chungnam, who was reported by the YouTube channel 'Garosero Research Institute' (Gaseyeon) for hanging a banner calling for the dismissal of President Yoon Seok-yeol, responded by saying, "I will not be shaken under any circumstances."
On the 14th, Mayor Park Jeong-hyun told Yonhap News Agency, "I also received an official letter from the Board of Audit and Inspection requesting an explanation regarding the use of personal funds for the production of the banner," adding, "I have receipts in my personal name, so I will provide an explanation." He added, "I will not be shaken under any circumstances and will raise my voice until President Yoon is dismissed," and "I will also diligently devote myself to my duties as mayor."

According to the Public Official Election Act, local government heads are allowed to post politically charged banners without budget support. However, after receiving repeated protests from supporters of President Yoon to the secretariat, the banner was voluntarily removed following a review of possible violations of the Outdoor Advertising Act.
On the 13th, Gaseyeon announced through a YouTube broadcast in front of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office that they would file complaints against Mayor Park Jeong-hyun of Buyeo County and Moon In, mayor of Buk-gu, Gwangju, for violating the National Public Officials Act and abuse of authority. Gaseyeon also added that they would file a complaint against Governor Kim Dong-yeon of Gyeonggi Province on the same charges.
Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon held a solo protest for about 20 minutes on the morning of the 11th in front of the Shinbundang Line Gwanggyo Jungang Station ticket gate near the Gyeonggi Provincial Office, holding a sign that read "Immediate Dismissal of the Leader of the Rebellion" targeting commuters. There is suspicion of abuse of authority as there may have been improper orders during the installation process." They further claimed, "Governor Kim Dong-yeon of Gyeonggi Province urged the impeachment of Yoon Seok-yeol and spread false information by referring to him as the 'leader of a rebellion, Yoon Seok-yeol.'"
In response, Governor Kim Dong-yeon stated his position, saying, "Even if I become a target of conservatives, I will not bend." Kim said, "I do not understand what far-right YouTubers are doing, and I do not feel it is worth responding to each one," but added, "For the swift impeachment of the rebellion's ringleaders, I will continuously use my words and actions to the best of my ability."
