Through this, the city plans to shorten administrative processing times and create a proactive administrative environment trusted by citizens.
The city has established a system that automatically sends notification letters to automobile acquisition tax reduction recipients by linking the ‘Standard Local Tax and Non-Tax Revenue Information System’ with the RPA program.
Previously, officials had to manually verify reduction recipients such as those with multiple children or national merit recipients and send postal notifications, which took a lot of time. However, after introducing the automated system, recipients from the previous week are automatically selected every Monday and notified via text message.
This has resulted in an annual saving of about 2 million KRW in postal costs and minimized omissions and errors in notifications. Real-time notifications have also enhanced convenience for citizens.
Uijeongbu City introduced a system that automatically analyzes city bus usage status based on the ‘Bus Management System (BMS).’
This is an optimal program developed by referring to successful cases from other local governments such as Gyeonggi Provincial Government and Gwangju City, and through close consultation with the responsible department.
By utilizing transportation card data, it analyzes ▲number of passengers per route ▲usage patterns by time in real time, enabling efficient bus route adjustments. The previous manual analysis was conducted irregularly, causing delays in data analysis and policy application, but after automation using the RPA program, analysis can be completed within 5 hours daily.
Through this, the city is enhancing transportation convenience for citizens and establishing a balanced bus route system among regions.
The city improved the efficiency of administrative document drafting by introducing a ChatGPT-based AI chatbot.
Currently, 10 types of chatbots supporting various administrative document drafting such as press releases and draft official records are in operation, equipped with customized functions reflecting Uijeongbu City’s tone and style. This enables real-time generation of drafts for reports, event materials, and more.
The time required for administrative document drafting, which previously took 2 to 3 hours, has been reduced to under 10 minutes, reducing the burden of simple and repetitive tasks and allowing staff to focus on more creative and strategic work.
