Sharing Startup Support Measures to Revitalize the Startup Ecosystem
Yangsan City, Gyeongnam held a meeting of the 'Yangsan City Startup Company Review Committee' at the Yangsan Business Center on the 13th.
The Startup Company Review Committee is a body established in accordance with the 'Ordinance on Support for Startup Companies in Yangsan City' and functions to review all matters related to supporting startup companies.
A total of eight committee members with extensive expertise and experience in the startup field attended, including Vice Mayor Cho Hyunok as the chairperson, operators of startup support facilities, entrepreneurs, and startup investment experts.
The meeting proceeded with a report on Yangsan City's startup support projects for 2025, deliberation and resolution on the selection of companies eligible for rental fee support for resident companies in the Startup Incubation Center, and companies eligible for subsidies for newly hired employees at startups, followed by discussions on other startup support policies. As a result of the review, 15 companies were selected for the rental fee support program for resident companies in the Startup Incubation Center, and 4 companies (6 individuals) were chosen for the subsidy for newly hired employees at startups.
The city plans to establish a sustainable growth foundation for the successful settlement of startups by preparing systematic support measures through this review committee.
Vice Mayor Cho Hyunok said, "Today's meeting provided an opportunity to share opinions with experts on startup support in Yangsan City and to suggest future directions," adding, "We will continue to maintain close and smooth communication with the Startup Company Review Committee members to vitalize the local startup ecosystem."
