Startup Youth Entrepreneurship Competition with Total Prize of 290 Million KRW
Targeting Fourth Industrial Revolution Convergence Fields such as AI, IoT, Robotics, and Big Data
Gyeonggi-do Ansan City is hosting a youth startup competition with a total prize of 290 million KRW.
On the 14th, Ansan City announced that it is recruiting participants for the 'Startup Youth Entrepreneurship Competition' to discover and support young entrepreneurs with creative ideas.
The competition aims to provide practical support to prospective and early-stage entrepreneurs with startup ideas utilizing Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies. Eligible participants are young entrepreneurs born after March 4, 1985. Individuals or teams who have been running a business for less than three years as of the announcement date or are preparing to start a business are eligible.
The competition fields include ▲Internet of Things (IoT) ▲Cloud ▲Big Data ▲Artificial Intelligence (AI) ▲Mobile ▲Robotics ▲Information and Communication Technology (ICT) ▲Blockchain ▲Augmented Reality (AR) ▲Digital Platforms ▲Social Media-based technology startups, and other areas related to the convergence of Fourth Industrial Revolution industries.
The city will conduct online education to strengthen entrepreneurial capabilities, preliminary selection evaluations, and business plan and IR consulting for the selected entrepreneurs after document screening. Winners will be selected through the final competition held on June 20.
The total prize money is 290 million KRW, divided into 45 million KRW in awards and 245 million KRW in commercialization funds. The prize money will be distributed differentially to 13 teams based on their performance. Winners will also receive follow-up support such as marketing promotion linkage and priority admission points for the Youth Cube. The grand prize winner will receive 10 million KRW in prize money and 45 million KRW in commercialization funds.
