Struggle to Defend Democracy... 'See You Again, Joguk' on Screens This April
The political documentary film "Meeting Again, Jo Guk" is set to be released next month, announced the distributor Et Nine Film on the 14th.
The distributor explained that the film is for the people who have been waiting for the impeachment results of President Yoon Seok-yeol after experiencing the declaration of martial law on December 3rd last year.
It depicts the journey of the people protecting democracy shaken after the martial law and the political alliance led by Jo Guk, who remained unbroken despite political oppression. The film highlights the paths of former Minister of Justice and founder of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, former leader Jo Guk, and President Yoon Seok-yeol, who went straight from Prosecutor General to the presidency and is currently undergoing impeachment proceedings.
Additionally, it analyzes the movements of politics and power in South Korea after the Jo Guk incident and offers a new perspective on how democracy and the rule of law have changed under the Yoon Seok-yeol administration. The film is co-directed by director Jung Yoon-chul, known for directing "Marathon" (2005) and "The Proxy Soldiers" (2017), and director Jung Sang-jin, who served as impact producer for "You Are Jo Guk" (2022).
