Gyeonggi-do Icheon City is operating a 'Health Walking Challenge' starting from the 14th in March, which is the 'Obesity Prevention Month.'
This event will run for 15 days from the 14th to the 28th, and participants who achieve a goal of walking more than 90,000 steps will be entered into a draw to receive a 5,000 KRW mobile gift certificate, awarded to 300 people.
Any Icheon citizen can participate in the event. Those who wish to join must install the mobile walking app 'WalkOn' and then join the official Icheon City walking community. After that, they can select 'Reserve' or 'Join' for the Icheon City Walking Challenge under the challenge tab and walk until they reach the target number of steps.
The city plans to continue operating various themed walking challenges every month using the WalkOn app to promote citizens' health even after this walking challenge.
